April 23-25, 2007 Kortrijk, Belgium, will host INFOPOL 2007 -International Trade Fair for Equipment for the Police, Surveillance and Security Services - conducted under the auspices of His Majesty King Albert II. An executive order of the Russian Federation Government tasked Rosoboronexport State Corporation for the first time to be the organizing authority for the Russian exposition at the Fair.

The "Rosoboronexport" State Corporation is a sole state agent in the sphere of exporting and importing defense products in Russia. It is a structure, which is fully controlled by the State but at the same time possesses a certain economic independence. "Rosoboronexport" represents interests of more than 700 enterprises of the Russian defense industrial complex in the World market. In the year of 2006 volume of export through "Rosoboronexport" reached about $5.3 billion. At present the backlog has been filled nearly up to $21 billion. The Corporation has established mutually beneficial cooperation with more than 60 countries in the world. "Rosoboronexport" representatives have their offices in 44 foreign states.

Russia's Space Forces will not give up using the Gabala radar in Azerbaijan, the forces' spokesman said, commenting on media reports that Russia could soon abandon the site. "The activity of the Space Forces is aimed at all radars eventually being on Russian territory. But we do not intend to give up the agreement on the use of the Gabala ahead of time," Alexei Zolotukhin said.
